
This class is mostly done using a ballet barre for gentle support whilst using Pilates principles to gain a higher intensity work out.
There are high reps of small range of motion movements, focusing on isometric strength training, meaning holding your body still whilst you contract a specific set of muscles.
The great thing about barre is that it combines strength training and cardio, meaning you’re burning fat and building muscle at the same time.
Because the technique focuses on strengthening the muscles and muscle tissue burns 15 times as many calories as fat – the stronger you get, the more calories you burn!
